Route and gear

From the 3th to the 8th June I do three tours in Transylvania: with the mountain bike to Poiana Braşov and two trekking trips in the Bucegi Mountains and Muntii Piatra Craiului in the south of the Carpathian Mountains, where the bear, lynx and Wolf are still at home. Transylvania is close to the wooded Carpathian Mts in the horseshoe-shaped curve surrounding the centrale Romanian scenery. In order to spend the night outside all I have is one selfinflatable air bed as a base and a sleeping-bag with bivouac, Camping cookers, flashlight and first aid set should always be present in the backpack of course. The need for minimum clothing vairies from X-SOCKS ® , X-BIONIC ® trekking shirts and underwear up to Outdoor Hypershell of X-BIONIC ®. I will test the prototype of the brand-new Outdoor jacket during seven days exclusively.

Hope you liked my country,

Hope you liked my country, Romania has indeed very beautiful and wild mountains (even though the Bucegi mountains are not the most savege mountains around - except for the large number of bears).

If you ever come back in Romania, you should see Retezat mountains (a national park), Fagaras mountains (the highest in Romania - 2544m - Moldoveanu Peak) and of course, the Apuseni mountains, in the west of the country - with many natural turistic atractions...
