Hi peakbagger,
I never used the ski touring shirt. I use the Energy Accumulator Shirt for mountaineering in the alps and Im more than satisfied. Did you ever try the Trekking Shirt? It has shoulder pads like the Ski Touring Shirt! Probably the next product I try to get!!!!
Best regards!

Hi Hyper
Yes, I also use the Trekking Shirt - essentially just a little lighter than the Ski Touring and of course with short sleeves. Fantastic in hot conditions, especially if using a lightweight/hydration pack with little cushioning in the shoulder straps. The cushioning built into the garment (for the hip belt as well as shoulder straps) really works, and still allows air to circulate under the straps. My only negative comment about the Trekking Shirt is that the sleeves are just a little too short - more like shoulder caps. But I'm sure X-Bionic will rectify this at some stage. Either would be a good purchase - though I'd look at the longer sleeved garment first. It's certainly not too warm for hiking in the mountains: I used it on three consecutive days in the Lake District last month in all sorts of weather and it was perfect. And - it didn't smell!!
