Yesterday the longest stage of the „Tour of Austria“, with 217.2 kilometres, was held. It was attacked immediately after the start in Lienz, the initial average speed lay at more than 50 km/h and finally at 70km, a 5-headed group could escape. Within the group was the Czech Jan Barta of Arbö KTM Junkers wearing X-SOCKS also a cyclist of famous top teams like Silence-Lotto and Cervelo Test Team. The advantage could be extended on a maximum of 14 minutes. After numerous attacks Barta won the final sprint. „For my team, this victory is awesome. I performed very well today", said the 24-year-old Czech. For X-SOCKS it is another success on the international stage.
